Sandy’s Dome it snows, rains and changes seasons from spring to summer and fall to winter. When she goes outside the Tree Dome, Sandy wears an air suit, which sort of looks like an astronaut’s suit. She can not be outside the Dome without her air suit, although she did take it off once for a bet. Sandy is very competitive. She competes in all types of sports from karate to weight lifting. Even though she sometimes gets a little homesick for Texas, she loves living under the sea and she loves being SpongeBob’s friend.

Being an air breathing rodent, Sandy hibernates or sleeps through the winter. When she does, she becomes huge like a bear because she eats tons of food right before she goes to sleep. Be careful not to wake her when she’s hibernating, she gets really mean when she sleepwalks.

Sandy is very smart, unlike Patrick, and loves all creatures even worms. She is one of the strongest creatures in Bikini Bottom and even claims to be the absolute strongest creature in the sea. She and SpongeBob often get into trouble with their strength contests and other sports.

Sandy would be a good friend to have. Sure she is competitive but she sure would keep you on your toes. And it is no wonder she gets homesick. Could you imagine being in a totally different world than what you are used to?
