Mr. Krabs owns the Krusty Krab where SpongeBob and Squidward work. He loves money, sometimes more than anything else. He also loves his daughter Pearl and of course SpongeBob, everyone loves SpongeBob. But Mr. Krabs spends most of his day counting up all the money that he has made at the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs’ rival is Plankton. He and Plankton have known each other since their school days, and at one time worked together to create the best krabby patty under the sea. Now they are fierce enemies. Plankton often tries to steal the famous krabby patty recipe from Mr.

Krabs and use it in his own restaurant, the Chum Bucket, although he never succeeds. Mr. Krabs mother, Mama Krabs, lives in an anchor home just like her son, although hers is pink. Mr. Krabs is the richest crab in the sea. But, he doesn’t like to spend his money. He does have a soft spot for Pearl, although he doesn’t spend money on her the way she would like and he often disappoints her with his inexpensive gifts.

He once even had a soft spot for Mrs. Puff, the pufferfish who runs SpongeBob’s boating school. He spent lots of money on her, even though he cried about spending all that money later. He also loves making SpongeBob “Employee of the Month” every month.

Although he sometimes seems annoyed with SpongeBob, he really loves him and thinks of him as the son he never had. Mr. Krabs is a mean-seeming, money hungry, bossy old crab, but down deep he has a heart of gold. Just don’t tell him or he’ll try to take it out and sell it.
